
A 36-year-old man has been arrested by the Police in Lezha, after being wanted for involvement in a drug trafficking case.
Mir Ndoj, a resident of Lezha, was arrested in Tirana while traveling by taxi, as part of the operation codenamed "Vacuum". He is suspected of having, in collaboration with another citizen (already arrested), transported about 34 kilograms of cannabis, in the area of the village of Balldre, five days ago.
During the police intervention at that time, Ndoj managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness and his knowledge of the terrain. The two suspects are part of a criminal group that was involved in the cultivation, processing and distribution of cannabis in the Lezha area.
"5 days ago, in the village of Balldre, he was transporting about 34 kg of cannabis, in collaboration with another citizen (arrested), the 36-year-old was caught in Tirana and put in handcuffs.

The services of the Lezha Local Police Directorate, based on information provided by intelligence, on the location of a citizen declared wanted within the framework of the coded operation "Vacuum", have cooperated with the services of the Police Commissariat No. 3, Tirana, for his localization and capture. As a result, the citizen was captured in Tirana while traveling by taxi and was handcuffed:

This citizen was declared wanted after it is suspected that 5 days ago, on the road to the village of Balldre, in collaboration with citizen DN (who was arrested in flagrante delicto), he was transporting about 34 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa, but during the intervention of the Police services, taking advantage of the darkness and knowledge of the terrain, he was able to escape.
Work continues to capture the citizens declared wanted following this operation.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Lezha, for further action," the police announced.
