The investigations into the TNT explosion of Oltjon Klos's vehicle, an event that occurred on March 10 in Tirana, have taken a different turn, as new details have emerged about the motives and involvement of the arrested persons.
Initially, the detainees did not give statements, but later admitted responsibility for the incident.
Initial police suspicions linked the explosion to a previous conflict in Spain between Sabah Nuzi, who is in prison for serious criminal offenses, and the target of the attack, over a debt of 15,000 euros.
However, subsequent statements revealed that Nuzi and Klosi did not know each other.
According to the version given, the order to plant the explosives was made by Nuzi on behalf of other people who had conflicts with the 36-year-old, but their identities were not disclosed to investigators.
The person suspected of planting the TNT in the vehicle is Jurgen Gjonaj. He has stated that he agreed to carry out the explosion to repay a debt of around 15 thousand euros to Sabah Nuzi. According to him, the debt had arisen after the loss of a drug shipment in Germany, and carrying out the attack was considered a form of repayment.
In connection with this incident, the police arrested 7 people. Jurgen Gjonaj, Renato Balla, Kristjan Ahmerama and Eklips Leti are accused of the criminal offense of "Destruction of property with explosives", committed in collaboration. While Glentjan Kojtari, Dorjan Hamolli and Geris Molla are accused of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime".
The incident was solved thanks to the tracking of a bicycle used by the perpetrator, which turned out to be stolen by Kristjan Ahmerama and then hidden in a location in the Lapraka area. His observation further led to the identification and arrest of other persons involved.
Investigations are continuing to identify other possible individuals who may have ordered or organized this event.
Who is Sabah Nuzi?
33-year-old Nuzi is accused of executing Klevis Lleshi in exchange for 50 thousand euros, an event that occurred a year ago.
Nuzi was arrested on September 26 last year on suspicion of being part of Aurel Hoxha's criminal group, the mastermind behind the murder of 22-year-old Klevis Lleshi. Sabah Nuzi played the role of the executioner in this incident.
Nuzi has a significant criminal record. In 2020, he was arrested by the Mati Police after shooting a gun in the air and threatening a person. Even earlier, in 2012, when he was only 18 years old, he was arrested for injuring 3 people with a pistol.
Currently, Nuzi is in Fushë-Krujë prison, charged with the criminal offenses of "Murder for blood feud", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Hiding or destruction of a corpse", "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group" and "Criminal organization".
