New details have emerged regarding the injury of a 26-year-old man in Korça. The young man is from the city of Berat and had been in the company of the suspected perpetrator for some time.
Sources said that the incident took place in a bar, in a suburban neighborhood of the city of Korça, where the injured person and the suspected perpetrator were in the company of a woman.
After being injured, they took 26-year-old Kostandin Ziu to the hospital and then left, abandoning their vehicle, which has now been seized by the police.
Numerous criminal police forces are combing the suspected perpetrator's neighborhood, and have even searched his apartment, while traffic police forces have set up checkpoints at the entrances and exits of the city of Korça.
Meanwhile, the injured man has been sent to Tirana for more specialized treatment.
Sources for A2 indicate that the injured Kostandin Ziu was only recently released from Peqin prison, while the suspected perpetrator is thought to have formed a friendship with Ziu while they were serving their sentences in Drenova prison.
