The family of Kristjan Cenaj, the young man accused of murdering and burying 16-year-old Maringlen Gjonaj in Fushe-Kuqe of Kurbin, has broken the silence, speaking for the first time about the serious event.

After the decision of the Court of Lezha, which sentenced the 32-year-old to life imprisonment, his father Tonin Cenaj says that the boy has nothing to do with this crime and he was sentenced without any evidence by the court.

"My son was convicted without evidence. The Prosecution and the Court convicted me without evidence. I wrote a letter to the prosecution, KLJ, why they convicted me", says Tonin Cenaj, the father of the accused Kristjan Cenaj.

From the moment the incident happened, the father of the accused stated that they contacted the victim's family members and were ready to take an oath in the church based on custom, while asking the justice authorities to find the real killers of the 16-year-old.
