Details of the killing of the Albanian in Italy two days ago are coming to light. Dritan Hakaj, 45 years old, was shot dead by his neighbor in Italy, Walter Budri, 78 years old. The 78-year-old suspected that the Albanian had a relationship with his wife.
According to the neighbors, it was not the first time they argued and in some cases the police intervened.
" My wife and I woke up because we heard a noise. At first we thought it was fireworks thrown by children, but then I realized that someone was shooting a gun down the stairs. I was scared ," says the old man's neighbor.
According to the Italian media, the Albanian had a previous record for drugs, property crimes and prostitution.
The 45-year-old, in fact, had been frequenting Budri's house for months, despite the fact that the pensioner had kicked him out several times. According to what has been reconstructed by the carabinieri, around three o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the Albanian entered the house drunk and attacked the woman in front of her eleven-year-old son from a previous relationship.
The elderly man, the author of the event, heard the screams and intervened to protect the woman. At one point, the 78-year-old grabbed the illegal weapon he had and threatened Hakaj, asking him to leave. He shot twice in the air and the Albanian ran away from the stairs.
But the 78-year-old followed him and shot him once in the chest. Hakaj died at the scene. The 78-year-old was arrested and is in San Vittore prison awaiting his hearing.
