The 61-year-old Albanian, who was murdered with a knife by his daughter's neighbor in Bibbiano, Reggio Emilia, has been identified.
Ilirjan Minaj was stabbed in the chest by the Italian citizen, 41-year-old Riccardo Stefani around 11:00 pm on Friday evening in front of his daughter's apartment.
The victim had gone to meet her granddaughter, but was confronted by the perpetrator while climbing the stairs of the building, and a harassment by the 41-year-old towards him, initially led to an argument between them.
After the fight, it is reported that the Italian Riccardo Stefani entered his apartment, but Ilirjan Minaj hit the door of the author's house, where the latter lived with his mother.
Then, the 41-year-old opened the door holding a knife in his hand and hit the Albanian in the chest.
Ilirjan Manaj fell to the ground and died at the scene, as he could not survive his injuries.
It is reported that the victim was from Korça, while several years ago he moved with his wife to Bibbiano, Italy.
