Fier prison officer, Nazmi Doko, is hospitalized in Fier hospital, Surgery department. The 64-year-old received head injuries, but his life is out of danger.
The officer was hit on the head with chains on the evening of April 30, around 9:00 p.m. on the street near his apartment in the "1 Maji" neighborhood.
Sources said security cameras filmed a masked man hitting the officer in the head with a chain and then leaving in a car he had parked on the side of the road.
Sources said the hit track is being investigated due to duty, but this has not been officially confirmed.
The police announced that the work to identify and catch the perpetrator continues.
"Yesterday evening, around 9:00 p.m., an as yet unidentified citizen allegedly hit the ND citizen, 64 years old (an employee of IEVP Fier), with a hard object, causing minor injuries. The ND citizen is receiving treatment at the hospital and is out of danger for life", the police announced.
