Tirana Police have arrested a person after he was caught with firearms and ammunition in his apartment. Vladimir Këndella was a person with a criminal record, having been previously convicted of murder in Germany.
From the checks in the apartment, a firearm, pistol and combat ammunition were found and seized as material evidence.
"Police station No. 4, finalized the coded police operation "Ekol", in the framework of which the person with the initials VK, a resident of Tirana, previously convicted of murder in the German state, was caught and arrested in the act.
On the part of the services of the Police Station No. 4, information was obtained from the police intelligence about a citizen who was carrying firearms without a permit in the apartment. On the basis of this information, thanks to quick and professional actions, the Police services have exercised control in the residence of the citizen VK, and have found and seized as material evidence a firearm, a pistol, and combat ammunition ", the police announced today.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
