A 38-year-old man who was driving an armed car on "Arbri Street" has been arrested by Tirana Police, as it turns out he had previously been prosecuted for the same criminal offense.
According to the police, 1 automatic firearm and combat ammunition were seized. The arrested person is Besmir Bajraktari, 38 years old, resident of Burrel, who was charged with "unauthorized production and possession of combat weapons and ammunition."
"The services of the Police Commissariat No. 4, in continuation of the work to prevent and crack down on criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the information obtained that a citizen possessed a firearm in the vehicle he was driving, immediately organized the work and as a result of the operation coded "Armed" they located and arrested the 38-year-old BB, resident of Burrel.
On Arbri Street, the services stopped the "BMW" vehicle, driven by the suspect. During the search of the vehicle, an automatic firearm and combat ammunition were found, which were seized as material evidence together with the vehicle. The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
