A serious event shocked Greece, where a 41-year-old woman was killed by her partner in his home in Thessaloniki
Greek media have published a video where the 41-year-old Albanian, Georgia, is seen walking hand in hand with her partner, just before the latter shot her three times with a knife in the neck, causing her death.
In the video recorded by the store's security cameras on New Year's Eve, the 41-year-old pregnant woman and her partner move carelessly and carry shopping bags in Ethnikis Antistaseos street, a few meters from the house where the couple lived.
The video was recorded about ten minutes before 11 p.m., while according to information, the couple returned by taxi to their apartment, after the 39-year-old accused had gone to pick up the woman from work.
According to information, the aggressors waited for 41-year-old Gheorgjia Murati to return home and as soon as she passed through the front door, they attacked her.
She was then taken to the bedroom where her partner fatally wounded her with a sharp object in the cervical area. They then put him in a trunk and took him to a remote area of Halkidiki, where they dumped his body in a valley.
The Greek police, using the evidence they have, are looking for the motive for the cruel murder, while based on what the friend of the 41-year-old's partner claims, it is suspected that he did not agree with the pregnancy and it is also speculated that there were financial differences between the couple.
However, so far, the 39-year-old partner of the unfortunate woman denies any involvement, claiming that he had nothing to do with the 41-year-old's murder and that his friend is lying.
The perpetrators, after returning to the scene of the crime, tried to destroy the traces, cleaning the apartment of the evidence, which they threw in different places in the wide area of Kalamari.
It is about clothes, personal belongings of the 41-year-old, as well as the mattress of the bed on which Georgia was killed.
In order to deceive the police authorities, they even put another mattress on the bed after the crime. It is noted that traces of the victim's blood were found on the mattress that was found thrown in the area of Kalamaria.
At noon on Monday (January 8), the two perpetrators came to the authorities, where the friend of Georgia's partner, during questioning by the authorities, confessed to participating in the murder.
Following his instructions, the police officers in the afternoon of the same day went to the deserted place where they had abandoned the 41-year-old and after investigations, her body was found. The disappearance of the 41-year-old was reported on January 2, while 24 hours later, the relevant notification was issued through the Missing Alert service.
