Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni will not appear at the Milan Prosecutor's Office on Friday to answer questions from investigators, confirming rumors that have circulated in recent hours.

The news was announced by his lawyer, Salvatore Scuto, who stressed that his client had the legal right not to appear and not to answer prosecutors' questions.

" The player had the right not to answer the prosecutors' questions ," said lawyer Salvatore Scuto.

Earlier, Skuto had described the summons from the Prosecution as an "invitation in the dark", implying that clear elements on the reasons for the interrogation were missing.

According to information so far, two main elements are discernible in the investigation. The first is related to the statements of the girl involved in the case, who was 17 years old at the time of the events. She has excluded Bastoni from the charges, stating that she never received money in exchange for sexual relations.

The second element is related to conversations discovered on communication apps between several footballers and Alesio Salamones, who is accused of organizing the meetings. From these conversations it appears that there was a fee of 10 to 15 thousand euros for organizing evenings with girls.

However, investigators emphasize that the existence of these fees does not prove that all the people involved made payments.

In one of the published conversations, Bastoni discusses with Salamonen the expenses of an evening, including the girls' transportation.

Bastoni: " How much does sushi cost approximately? For six... 100 euros ."

Salamone: " Oh my friend, can sushi ever cost 100 euros? Then there are eight of us ."

Then the conversation continues:

Bastoni: " But these guys don't eat anything ."

Salamone: " I know people who are paid 1,500 euros a month and are more brilliant than you ."

These payments are part of the investigation by the Milan Prosecutor's Office, which aims to clarify whether illegal payments were made in the context of organizing these meetings.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor's Office has begun questioning several footballers as witnesses. The first to be heard by prosecutors Rosaria Stagnaro and Bruna Albertini, at the premises of the Guardia di Finanza, were Daniel Maldini and Kevin Bonifaci. According to the investigation calendar, Riccardo Calafiori is also expected to be questioned on Friday.
