The Greek authorities have managed to destroy another prostitution network where one of the leaders of the gang is an Albanian citizen.
According to the Greek media, the prostitution network was run by an Albanian and a 40-year-old woman from Uzbekistan, who has been arrested.
The 35-year-old Albanian together with the 40-year-old offered "golden" jobs to girls in Greece who illegally entered the country in the hope of a good job that never happened.
After arriving in the country, the girls were kept in inhumane conditions and prostituted.
The traffic network was caught after a woman tried to escape from the gang.
The Anti-Trafficking in Human Beings Police Department conducted a search in two apartments of the organization, on Neophytou Metaxa street, where they found and seized 2,600 euros, a mobile phone, a passport, as well as bank receipts, transfers to and from Uzbekistan.
A file was filed against the 40-year-old and her associates for Criminal Organization, Human Trafficking and Violation of the Immigration and Social Integration Code.
