The police in Shkodër have provided detailed information about the serious incident that took place in the northern capital, where a 63-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide.
The police clarified that no signs of violence were found on the victim's body. It is suspected that the 63-year-old recently suffered from depression.
"Around 4:25 p.m., the Police services received a notification that a citizen was thrown into the waters of the Buna River.
Upon receiving the notification, the Police services immediately went to the given address.
Police officers entered the river with a boat and started searching. The Police Services have found the dead body of the citizen Sh. O., 63 years old, resident of the "Dobraç" neighborhood, who allegedly threw herself from the old bridge of the Buna River.
From the preliminary examination of the dead body, no signs of violence were found, as well as from the first investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen suffered recently from depression. The investigative group, under the direction of the prosecutor, continues the work for the complete clarification of the circumstances of the case", the police informs.
