The 27-year-old Palestinian, who is accused of beating, raping and stabbing the 33-year-old Albanian woman in Greece, has been released on bail.
The conditions imposed on him are the ban on leaving the country and reporting to the police station three times a month. According to judicial sources, the evidence in the file was not sufficient to order his detention.
Although, the 33-year-old Albanian has not given an official statement due to her condition and will testify in the forensic medicine when she recovers.
The investigator even went to the hospital to get a statement, which of course she couldn't do either, since the victim was getting weaker and had no way of communicating with the investigators.
However, the investigator saw how bad the 33-year-old girl was, but did not decide on the temporary arrest of the accused, until the victim can testify.
For these reasons, the suspect was released on the condition that he not leave the country and appear at the police station twice a month. The court did not even hold him, even though a knife with a 22 cm blade was found on his body, as well as a stick with traces of blood, with which he himself admitted that he had raped the victim.
The results from the forensic laboratories for the evidence seized from the abandoned house are awaited.
