The Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has revealed the criminal activity of the brothers Franc and Hajdar Çopja. They ran a powerful drug trafficking organization, committed murders for hire, tried to execute Nuredin Duman, Erion Alibejn, etc., as well as laundered crime money by investing in the construction sector and in old companies.
But, not only that, the two brothers, with their power gained from drug trafficking, have managed to extend their tentacles to the justice system.
According to what was established by SPAK investigations, it turns out that Franc and Hajdar Çopja have bribed judges, prosecutors and other justice functionaries.
They have also recruited two police officers to carry out actions contrary to duty on behalf of the criminal organization.
SPAK informs that they have also discovered the criminal fact of "Disclosure of acts or secret data", by an employee of the judicial administration of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Elbasan, committed during the time period September - October of 2020, in Elbasan.
"Furthermore, the recruitment of two state police officers to carry out actions contrary to duty on behalf of the criminal organization has been documented.
The criminal fact of "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other functionaries of justice bodies", event that happened in 2020 in Elbasan and "Active corruption of judges, prosecutors and other functionaries of justice bodies" was also recorded.
The investigations have also revealed the criminal fact of "Disclosure of secret acts or data", by an employee of the judicial administration of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Elbasan, carried out during the time period September - October 2020, in Elbasan" , it is stated in the announcement of SPAK.
