A criminal group that trafficked firearms from Albania to the United Kingdom has been destroyed by the Albanian authorities.
As a result of the operation, "Incorporation", 3 people have fallen into the hands of the police, while 3 other people have been declared wanted.
During the operation, 25 firearms (24 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov), hundreds of cartridges, lasers that are mounted on special weapons and serve for remote shooting, and optical equipment were seized. Also seized were special forces camouflage clothing, 4 vehicles, 8 mobile phones, SIM cards, 2 laptops and 2 cold weapons (knives).
Police notification:
The coded police operation "INCORPORATION" is finalized, followed by proactive methods, for the destruction of a criminal group that trafficked firearms from Albania to the United Kingdom.
The operation was carried out by the Directorate of Organized Crime and the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Criminal Police Department of the State Police, with the support of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana and the Tropoja Police Station, in close cooperation with SPAK, BKH and British law enforcement authorities.
During the operation, a criminal group that trafficked firearms from Albania to the United Kingdom was hit.
An arsenal of weapons consisting of 25 firearms (24 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov), hundreds of cartridges, lasers that are mounted on special weapons and serve for long-range shooting, and optical equipment is seized.
Camouflage clothing like that of special forces, 4 vehicles, 8 mobile phones, SIM cards, 2 laptops and 2 cold weapons (knives) are also seized.
The security measure "Arrest in prison" is executed for 3 citizens who were caught in Tirana.
The work continues in close cooperation with the British authorities, for the capture of 3 other citizens who are suspected to be hiding in the United Kingdom, for whom the GJKKO has assigned the same security measure.
The following citizens were actually arrested: AH, BT and RA, all three residents of Tirana.
The arsenal of weapons and other confiscated items were found in the residence of the citizen AH, who, according to the investigation, is the leader of the criminal group.
During the operation, checks were carried out in 6 apartments, in Tirana and Tropoja.
The operation, as part of the proceedings initiated in April 2023, by the Department of Organized Crime in the State Police and the Local Police Department of Durrës.
The operation was followed with proactive methods, in close cooperation with SPAK, BKH and the British authorities.
In April 2023, the Police, on the basis of information received during the operation, seized another arsenal of weapons (8 pistols) that were to be trafficked to the United Kingdom in the Port of Durrës, with a van with English license plates, whose driver was put in handcuffs.
At the direction of the SPAK and in close cooperation with the BKH and with the British law enforcement authorities, the operation for the capture of other citizens involved in this criminal activity continues.
