Over 700 narcotic cannabis plants were destroyed today in Kruja in the 14th phase of the police anti-cannabis operation.
The drug was planted in forested areas of the 2 villages of Kruja and Bruz mountain. Meanwhile, as a result of the previous stages of this mega-operation, a total of 7,753 cannabis sativa narcotic plants have been destroyed.
Special police teams, composed of officers from the Krujë Police Station and the Special Operational Force of the DVP Durrës, have continued checks in the mountainous areas of the district, assisted by drones, with the aim of preventing, identifying and cracking down on criminal activity. cultivation of narcotic plants.
From these controls, during the 14th phase of the "Clean Territory" mega-operation, in the territories of the villages of Cudhi Kamp and Kroi i Madh, as well as on the Bruzi mountain, Krujë, a total of 700 plants were found, cultivated on the ground suspected narcotic cannabis sativa.
A small part of the plants was seized as material evidence, while the rest was destroyed by burning. In-depth investigative actions continue to determine the authorship of this criminal activity. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants".
