Police have arrested the perpetrator of yesterday's murder in Kurbin.
67-year-old Dodë Mamli was killed near his home in the village of Vilëz in Kurbin. The cause of the crime was a dispute over property with Dashnor Tota, 53. The latter fled after the crime, but the police identified him and after several hours of searching arrested him.
" The operation to locate and capture this citizen was carried out without interruption by the operational services of the Lezha Police Department, in cooperation with the services of the National Security Force, Shkodra Unit.
During the operation, checks were carried out throughout the territory of the village where the incident occurred and in the surrounding areas. As a result, at noon today, the citizen
DT, 53 years old, resident of the village of Zhejë, Kurbin, was located in the village of Vilëz, arrested and put in handcuffs.
At the moment of his arrest by the Police, the firearm with which he is suspected of killing 67-year-old DM was found on this citizen, for property reasons.
"Investigations are continuing under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office to document the circumstances and cause of the murder ," the police announced.
Several people were also involved in the incident, and there were suspicions that the incident could also be related to revenge motives. This is because Dod Mamli is the father of two people involved in what is known as the Mamurras massacre, an event that occurred in 2015.
The place where Mamli was executed was mountainous and steep. For this reason, it took over 3 hours for the ambulance to get there to collect his lifeless body. It seems that the perpetrator took advantage of both the area not covered by cameras and the wooded terrain to get away.
