The murder of Roland Rexhepi, the police "turn their eyes" on Elvis

Elvis Fetahu, a well-known name for the criminal police in Elbasan, is suspected of participating in the murder of Roland Rexhepi, who is otherwise known in the city by the nickname "Doda".

Fetahu, in the following days, according to Elbasan police sources, is believed to be person No. 6 identified as a participant in the murder of the former head of anti-drugs in the Elbasan police, Roland Rexhepi.

Doubts on this person were addressed by the prosecutor's office of Elbasan 15 years ago, but now these doubts have been strengthened even more when the name of Fatah is mentioned publicly by Gëzim Balla, which made the police turn their eyes to this individual again.

According to the investigation file provided by "Ora News", because inside the van "Renault" from which the victim Roland Rexhepi was monitored, cigarette butts with different DNA and other fingerprint profiles were found, the prosecutor's office conducted a comparative dactyloscopic examination with a circle of large number of people.

The file states that the tracks found at the scene were compared with the tracks of citizens Ardjan Çapja, Florenc Çapja, Fejzulla Çapja, Agron Çapja, Enver Çapja, Bledar Muça, Sajmir Bako, Fatjon Hasa, Elvis Fetahu, Elis Killa, Dritan Hida, Alban Balliu, Dritan Myrta, Sajmir Osmani, Hysen Tafa, Viktor Tafa, Aurel Boçi. None of them had the same traces found on the "Renault" type van.

But the name of Elvis Fetah came out of the statements of Gëzim Balla, the person who is currently wanted by the police and the prosecutor's office of Elbasan.

According to the investigations carried out up to this stage, Gëzim Balla has been identified by the testimony of Donald Hoxha, who was arrested in England and then extradited to Albania. But from Gëzim Balla's confession, the prosecution is moving towards the identification of Elvis Fetah.

The arrested Donald Hoxha said that together with Gëzim Balla they went to Maminas in Durrës in July 2009, where they bought a white "Renault" van and then took the vehicle to the area of the "Ruzhdi Bizhuta" stadium. in Elbasan, the area where the "Çapja" criminal group operates, to which Ervis Fetahu also belonged.

According to Donald Hoxha's testimony, when they bought the van in Maminas, he took over driving and headed from Tirana, and then to Elbasan.

Along the way, Gëzim Balla accompanied him from behind in his private car.

"...when we arrived in Elbasan, Gëzim Balla called me again and told me to park the van at the stadium, because he would send it somewhere later to fix it. I parked the van that day on a secondary road behind the stadium, close to the park, and gave the key to Gezimi. After this moment, I neither saw nor drove the van again. A week later, I saw on the news that a citizen had been killed and in the photo I saw a van that was suspected to have been used in this murder, which seemed very similar to the one Gezimi bought in Maminas..." Donald Hoxha told the police .

According to the Elbasan police who followed the case, the victim, Roland Rexhepi, was going to the area of the "Ruzhdi Bizhuta" stadium, after working out in a gym.

Gëzim Balla has shown that the "Renault" type van was needed by Elvis Fetah, a character who at that time was part of the "Çapja" group.

Elvis Fetahu was even investigated and verified in the serious incident, where he attempted to kill Fadil Mema with a firearm in 2006 in Elbasan, and according to the latter's testimony given to the prosecutor, Elvis was also investigated for an injury in Bake.

Now the investigation of the Elbasan prosecutor's office and police is focused on Elvis Fetahu, who is suspected of being the man who took the van in collaboration with Gëzim Balla and Donald Hoxha.

For the murder of Roland Rexhepi, the Elbasan court decided to sentence Florind Shabani, known in Elbasan with the nickname "Paçuku", to 12 years in prison in May 2024.

While in 2012, Armand Llakaj and Marjus Tafa were sentenced to 25 and 23 years in prison for this murder in Elbasan, respectively, and they currently remain in prison.

Donald Hoxha is already in prison, awaiting trial, and has been identified by a fingerprint printed by the prosecution on the white Renault van./Oranews
