Dibra police arrested a 43-year-old man yesterday, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a murder that happened a few years ago.
The serious incident took place in 2017 where, according to the court, Viktor Elezi, who was arrested today, killed Alban Kaloshi. It is suspected that the incident happened accidentally, as the victim and the perpetrator had social ties. Peshkopia police found Elez's car on the outskirts of the city.
According to reliable information, the victim was transported to the hospital with this car. Sources at that time indicated that Kaloshi was the owner of a betting point.
The services of the Dibër Local Police Directorate executed the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the citizen, 43 years old, Viktor Elezi, resident in the village of Pollazhan, Dibër.
The Tirana Court of Appeal has assigned this security measure and sentenced the 43-year-old man to 16 years in prison, following the investigation into the murder of citizen Alban Kaloshi, committed in 2017, the police announced.
