He killed his daughter and injured his wife two years ago, the Italian

The Foggia prosecutor's office in Italy has requested a life sentence for Taulant Malaj, the 47-year-old baker from Albania accused of murdering two people and attempting to murder another during the tragic massacre that occurred on May 7, two years ago in the municipality of Torremaggiore.

According to the reconstruction by public prosecutors Antonio Laronga and Sabrina Cicala, Malaj is suspected of stabbing to death 51-year-old Massimo De Santis, believed to be the woman's boyfriend, and his daughter Jessica, just 16, who intervened to protect her mother. The woman was seriously injured in the attack.

During the prosecution's closing argument, which lasted a little over two hours, prosecutors analyzed in detail the motives and purpose of the murder, excluding any element that could weaken or evade the defendant's responsibility.

Among the key pieces of evidence are videos of the scene – shown in the courtroom at the start of the trial – in which Malaj takes responsibility for the punitive action: “Look there, I killed, I did it alone,” the man is heard saying in the footage.

Meanwhile, the court's decision is expected to be issued in the coming weeks.
