The Greek police have arrested two people, an Albanian and a Greek, suspected of being members of a criminal group that carried out armed attacks on various individuals and businesses in Athens.
The arrested are Bledi Alushi, 19 years old from Fieri and Nektarios Karakalios, 24 years old from Athens, who is suspected of having links with the criminal group "LIONS" made up of Albanian citizens, responsible for murders and serious events in Greece. Together with them, Ibro Cico, 65 years old from Fieri, was arrested for "arms without a permit", but there is no doubt that he is involved in the criminal group.
Meanwhile, the police have not yet identified other collaborators of the Albanian-Greek duo, who were involved in several serious incidents. Their participation has been evidenced by testimonies and film footage, and work is being done to clarify their identity and then arrest them.
The Greek police had provided information about 4 apartments in Athens, which were used as a base for keeping an arsenal of weapons. After arresting Alushi and Karakalio in connection with them, he searched the apartments and a "Jeep Renegade" type vehicle, finding and seizing 2 pistols, 1 silencer, 1 pistol comb, 68 cartridges of different calibers, 3460 euros and 1 cell phone. In one of the apartments, the police found and arrested 65-year-old Ibro Cico.
Meanwhile, police investigations have revealed several criminal events committed by the Albanian-Greek duo and by other unidentified persons. Specifically, the events explained according to the episodes are:
Episode 1
On 21.01.2024, in the area of Kolonos, Spartak Lato, Dimitrios Lato, Maria Lato, Kristina Tsakiri and a 1-year-old child were on board a vehicle. On "Lenorman" street, a group of 7 people stopped the vehicle in question and attacked the driver of the vehicle, Spartak Lako, with punches and kicks in the middle of the road, while at least one of them, who was carrying a gun, hit him with a butt. in face. During the attack, one of the perpetrators first threatened the people in the vehicle with a pistol and then shot at them, with the intention of killing them, but without being able to catch them. From the statements of the witnesses and from the analysis of the video footage, it appears that the perpetrators of the armed attack are Bledi Alushi and Nektarios Karakalios and at least 5 people who have not yet been identified.
Episode 2
At around 16:00 on 05.02.2024, the citizen was presented to the "Evangjelismos" hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Also present at the hospital was her husband, citizen Nektarios Karakalios, who verbally declared to the police that his wife shot herself with a firearm in their home. From the investigation of the circumstances of the injury, it was found that the author of the attempted murder against her is Nektarios Karakalios. Among other things, 1 pistol and 1 magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds without cartridges were found at the scene.
Episode 3 and 4
At 14:30 on 22.07.2022 in the "Axarnon" area, citizens Kristos N. Loukas, 28 years old, Kristos P. Loukas, 28 years old, Spirido Loukas, 32 years old and twelve 12 people who have not yet been identified, went to street "Prespas no. 67" in "Axarnon", outside the house of Nikolaos Loutsa, 30 years old, carrying carbines, pistols and wooden sticks. They shot with intent to kill, resulting in the wounding of Loutsa's leg.
After the investigations, Kristos N. Loukas was arrested and the other two were declared wanted.
Also, on 14.06.22 at 22:00, the Immediate Action Center was notified of shootings by unknown persons near the intersection of "Menelaou Ludemi" and "Prespas Axarnai" streets, where the Aulizas Roma camp is located. On the street "Psatha aa". police officers of the "DIAS" team found a 1-9 mm caliber firearm cartridge, which was seized.
According to the laboratory-comparative examinations and the traces of the tools and the Information Note dated 02.08.2024, it was found that the cartridge found at the place where the attempted murder of Nikolaos Loutsa took place and the cartridge and the firearm came from the pistol brand "69278" ZASTAVA, which was seized on the street "Gemelou no. 118" in "Nikea", in which Bledi Alushi and Nektarios Karakalios had hidden part of their weaponry. Consequently, two of the unknown collaborators of the perpetrators identified at that time are Bledi Alushi and Nektarios Karakalios.
Episode 5
Around the date 08-09.01.2024, Bledi Alushi and Nektarios Karakalios fired at least seven 7 times in the direction of Bar Restaurant VENUS" owned by Pëllumb Hasani from Babica e Vlora, on "Paraskevopoulou" and "Giannari" streets in Patisia, which was closed at the time. As a result, damages were caused, as the windows of the bar were broken both from the side on "Paraskevopoulou" street and from "Giannari" street.
From the testimonies of the witnesses, it turned out that the perpetrators of the shootings are Bledi Alushi and Nektarios Karakalios.
