The police managed to identify and arrest the person who deceived the country's high school students and who was introduced to them as Klea Rama, the granddaughter of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
20-year-old Ermes Hoxhalli, a resident of Devoll, was behind this scheme, who promised students scholarships to study in the United States of America.
After a six-month investigation, by a special investigative group, consisting of officers of the Criminal Police Department and investigators from the Office of Criminal Investigations at the United States Embassy in Tirana, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of the Tirana General Section, they managed to discover that who was behind the false identity.
The 20-year-old is accused of the criminal offenses "Computer forgery" and "Forgery of documents".
Graduates were promised a scholarship and free travel to the USA, but to benefit from this program they had to present their projects in the field of innovation and then be tested.
126 students with an average above 9 were included in the competitions and after 3 stages of evaluation, 44 finalists were chosen.
Each school chose a teacher as coordinator.

After the reaction of the American Embassy and the police, the indignant students demanded an account of what had happened, but Klea Rama continued with her position that it is an official project and a prosecutor's number was made available to her asking them to write to her that the organizers they did not ask for money in exchange for the visa.
Afterwards, Klea Rama disappears from all social networks and the last message she sends to the graduates through a student tells them that they should not publish their personal number and photos and whoever did it should be withdrawn because it is a criminal offense.
Meanwhile, investigations continue to understand how the Ministry of Education fell into the trap of this project, whether or not they communicated with the American embassy about the authenticity of the project or whether this institution really believed without verifying that Klea Rama was the granddaughter of the prime minister.
