Footage from the arrest of 40-year-old Albanian Pandeli Nakoleci, the perpetrator of the murder of his 36-year-old wife, has been released.
He was found after 29 hours of searching, hiding in an abandoned plot of land at the intersection of Kountouriotou and Evripidou streets in a central point of Volos, just 200 meters from home.
The 40-year-old shocked the local community with the brutal murder of his wife in front of their young children.
Video provided by ertnews shows the perpetrator being located and arrested by police officers.
Without any resistance, defeated but defiant, blaming the victim for his ugly act, the murderer Pandeli Nakoleci was arrested this afternoon in a plot of land near the scene of the crime.
Meanwhile, the author's first words, immediately after his arrest by police officers, were shocking.
According to information from Greek media, as soon as he was handcuffed, Nakolec addressed the police officers, saying: "I did well, he deserved it, I don't regret anything."
These cynical statements from the perpetrator have caused disappointment, as they confirm the coldness with which he admitted his act, insisting that he feels no remorse for the murder of his 36-year-old wife.
He was found lying in the grass after residents reported to the police that they had seen a person hiding under a tree and moving suspiciously around the property.
According to descriptions from local residents, the 40-year-old was barefoot and carrying a knife on his shoulder. Despite police investigations, the knife was not found.
The perpetrator has an extensive criminal history, both for participation in a criminal organization and for domestic violence. He has also been hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic.

Specifically, in November 2024, he was arrested in Volos for administrative deportation.
In 2020, he was sentenced to four years in prison for participating in a criminal organization and drug trafficking.
In 2018, he was sentenced to one year in prison for making a false statement.
In 2013, he was arrested for forgery and illegal entry into the country.
Last June, on the orders of a prosecutor, he was admitted to a psychiatric clinic after a suicide attempt.
The four children, an eighteen-year-old adult, a girl, and other minors were left in a state of shock in the couple's home. An hour or two before their father's arrest, they had gone downstairs and anxiously asked the police if he had been arrested.
They were also eagerly awaiting details as an autopsy on their mother's body is awaited by the Thessaloniki Legal Service, while her funeral will be held in Albania. She is expected to appear before the Prosecutor's Office tomorrow.
