Kabashi's death is a great loss not only for his family, but for all Albanians.
"This Tuesday started with sadness, from the news this morning that in the early hours of December 5th, Mirush Kabashi, the great Albanian theater and cinema actor, died. Over a hundred roles played on theater stages and in film shoots, during a more than half-century-long career, show the high professional skills of Mirush Kabashi as well as his powerful artistic spirit as an actor.
For the generations that saw him playing on stage, Mirush Kabashi will be long remembered for his powerful and masterful interpretations of Albanian poetry. Once you have seen Mirush Kabashi performing Fan Noli's poem "Hymni i flaguri", every time you read the lines "O blood flag, o vulture flag...", his voice will come back to you. strong by reciting this poem in many scenes and events.
Mirush Kabashi was the real "Socrates", in the "True Apology of Socrates" by the Greek author Costas Varnalis. Mirush Kabashi brought Socrates so alive, even mimicking the views of the ancient Greek sculptures of Socrates with his beard and disheveled hair, as well as speaking with his own voice the words of the one who spoke so much without ever writing a word, Socrates!
Born on April 17, 1948 in Shkodër, but originally from Gjakova, this artistic soul from the tribe of Kabashi, gave thanks to the entire culture of the Albanian people through his dramatic art. Condolences to the Kabashi family, his playing and stage colleagues, among honors and memories for the master of acting, Mirush Kabashi" , writes Kurti.
