Dear friends and professional colleagues. I see that a lot is blowing up on social media about the low end of the year-end festival. Let's not forget that this is a national (state) festival where all of us are "producers" when we pay the RTSH tax. the whole year. Also, the parallels with San Remo and the megalomania of posts on social networks from RTSH that this festival would be the best of all, are ridiculous. I am very sorry, especially that an orchestra of miracles like that of RTSH as well as some professionals who worked for the festival, despite all their exemplary work, this time failed to cover the banalities that were seen at the festival. Where should I start... Apart from three or four materials that can be called songs/ (but even these were poorly interpreted in most cases) the vast majority of songs were written by amateurs and the interpretations were like singing in a karaoke... Under the guise of "promoting new talents", those who liked the organizers were introduced to the festival and not those young people who really deserved it.
Interpretations all maniera, without diction and without any stage ethics prevailed in the final nights. What about the scenography?...It is enough for someone to be Italian and it is definitely a GENE!...Having Albanians, this Italian named Cane can see his license plate! The presentation?? Amateur at the top! They didn't even know how to read on the screen... What about the humor?... Zef Deda and Mirush Kabashi will have turned upside down... But where were the real authors of the song?
In addition to a Kledi Bahiti, Enrico Melozzi (that the song was more his than it had the expiration date of the song a year ago), Tiri Gjoci and the Albanian puro sounds of Anduel Kovaci (which as always was not appreciated) what stood out the songs of this festival? Why were interesting and promising singers like Luani eliminated? Then we come to the jury, which this time left me speechless... How can Shpëtim Kushta, Zana Shuteriqi, Helena Kadare, etc. evaluate a song that can't even be called an experiment?? When on the third night, the real Albanian songs were performed, even though the icons of the song were missing, did you even notice what the difference was that night with the songs of the festival??
I still have a lot to talk about, but I think that this situation of anti-values and megalomaniacs should be given the right answer. It's useless to scream on social networks, but we have to come together concretely and give the answer it deserves with the same currency: LET'S BRING ANOTHER FESTIVAL AGAIN! I am making a public appeal to the masters of the song at the beginning of January to gather and discuss together that we have a moral duty and respect for all those who applauded us for years. Meanwhile, I am mentioning some of my artist friends, inviting them to this meeting. Regarding the funds needed, even if the state institutions do not help us, we will find them from the private sector, from cultured and art-loving friends. I invite to the conversation:
