
The iconic actress of Italian cinema, Sandra Milo, has passed away at the age of 90.
Milo was one of the most popular figures in cinematography and was known as the muse of director Federico Fellini.
She has starred with some of the biggest figures in the Italian film industry, including Alberto Sordi and Marcello Mastroianni, with whom she appeared in the Oscar-winning film 8½.

The news of her death was announced by the actress's family, while there have been many reactions to say goodbye to her.

Born Elena Salvatrice Greco, Milo played Carla, the girlfriend of Mastroianni's film director Guido. Fellini later played her alongside his wife in the 1965 film Juliet of the Spirits. Two decades later, Milo recounted their secret 17-year love affair in her indirect autobiographical book, Caro Federico.
Actress Milo became a participant in Italian television as a talk show host.
She left behind Ciro and the other two children, according to the statement broadcast by RAI.
