Ilmi Belshaku, the actor of over 300 roles in the "Skampa" theater, died at the age of 81. He lost his battle with life after a serious illness that tormented him until his last breath. Ilmi Belshaku was the father of a daughter whom he raised alone with dedication and love, after losing his wife at a very young age. Undoubtedly, the departure of Ilmi Belshak will be missed by the city of Elbasan, the citizens and the world of art and film.

In April 1973, when a group of young people from the amateur movement of the working class (where Ilmiu excelled in the premieres playing as an amateur at the Mjekesi factory) and under the direction of the well-known actor Ferit Gjevori, played for the first time as professionals in the show "Our funny pentagram". In this premiere, Ilmi showed his talent with his qualities such as: dynamism, liveliness and acting potential, especially in the monologue "Nihilist" by the author Qamil Buxheli. He played the role with such finesse that the monologue was a great success.
In the same year, Ilmi was accepted as a professional actor in Estrada, where for 30 years in a row he was not absent from any premiere. In 2002 he retired, took a break for two or three years and in 2006 he returned to the stage with the same power and artistic creation.
Ilmi's career is quite rich with accomplished creations in the acting field with many artistic figures. They mention here the role of Bamka, that of the bear in the skit "Elections" where together with Eser Qatipi they created that charming and unforgettable duo. I will mention in this article one of his roles, where he played a young Soviet man named "Filipenko". With only an old accordion in his hand, he sat in a corner and intervened in the conversation with only one word "let's try", this created a rather comical situation. Unforgettable role of his interpretation in Eduart Oga's comedy "American Lottery", staged by Dhimosten Papa, where together with the well-known actress Veronika Papa creates quite comical situations where the audience accompanies him with applause. An artistically accomplished role is that of a retired officer in the comedy "Palace of Women". but also the role of the security operative in the drama "House on Wheels" (both of these dramas were written and staged by Erand Sojli) was of a high level. I mentioned some spicy roles of the last few years, that Ilmiu has many, many others, e.g. in "Ndalim Qarkullimi" and "Since I love you" by the director Llambi Burgjia, there are quite hit roles or those creations full of elegance, in the premiere "Issues of the Day" by Tomorr Himçi and many others for a total of 90 premieres.
Ilmiu has a great merit in taking on the task of directing Estrada in 1998, where this troupe had not performed for more than a year. His first premiere "Kioska Bosi" was well received by the spectators from Elbasan, filling the hall full for several days in a row. Then he successfully staged the premieres "3 x 2 = 8" and "The Deputy, the Dog and the Chinese", etc. Ilmiu for the Skampa Theater remains a close and good friend. This is the portrait of the career of creation as an artistic creator as a stage actor and of the Skampa Theater of Elbasan.
