Lir Alimehmeti, candidate for deputy of the Democratic Party in the Tirana District, spoke about the May 11 elections.
When asked if he feels used by politics, Alimehmeti said: "I am a doctor, I have worked for the public and it is my "duty" to be used by the public. I would very much like to be used by the people. I go to Parliament to represent the people and to offer solutions. This is politics after all. But, we have turned the opposite around, that politics uses people."
According to him, it has happened that Edi Rama has "bought" his political opponents, but he added that he cannot be bought.
"I really like the fact that they are very clear that I am unbuyable and no one has approached me. It is known who can be bought and who cannot. They do not approach anyone who cannot be bought and I really like the fact that they consider me as such in the Socialist Party," Alimehmeti told "A2 CNN".
