The Special Court has scheduled the preliminary hearing for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the other four defendants.
The session will be held on October 24, at 12:00.
The Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigations for the 5 defendants of the "Partizani" file. Sali Berisha is accused of committing the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation, provided by article 260 and 25 of the Criminal Code.
Jamarbër Malltezi, accused of committing the crimes "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", provided by article 260 and 25 of the Criminal Code, as well as "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" carried out in cooperation, provided for from Article 287, second paragraph of the Criminal Code;
Fatmir Bektashi, accused of committing the criminal offenses "Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", provided by article 245 of the Criminal Code and "Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity" carried out in cooperation, provided by article 287 second paragraph of the Criminal Code;
Xhimi Begeja, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in collaboration, provided for by Article 287, second paragraph of the Criminal Code;
Andia Pustina, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in cooperation, during the exercise of a professional activity, provided for by Article 287, second paragraph of the Criminal Code.
