Affairs with incinerators, Rama does not back down: We cleaned Albania, those
Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama, despite the scandals, today again defended the incinerator projects of Fier, Tirana and Elbasan, as projects that have made Albania even cleaner.

Referring to the former Minister of Environment Lefter Koka Alqi Blako and others who are being judged to have benefited millions from these projects, Rama said that SPAK and GJKKO must do justice.

"The Elbasan plant operates and is the property of the municipality of Elbasan. Those who have abused do not at all overthrow the high goal of cleaning Albania from the garbage that had choked it to the core, nor the results that are evident. Even in Tirana it will continue to be done with money because otherwise it does not work. The work to clean Albania is expensive, let anyone die forever. It costs and will always cost more and more, not less. It's nice to have millions of tourists, but it means millions and millions more consumers and millions of waste.

Therefore, this work will continue. Meanwhile, the rest must continue until the end, SPAK is doing it and the special court will bring out all the black water of this history, but all that black water of that history does not nullify the colossal work that has been done where these initiatives have played a role their decisive reason that Tirana, Elbasan and Fieri are different today. There is an expression in Italian: You should not throw the baby out with the dirty water. The dirty water is thrown away and the baby grows," he said.
