The former commanding leader of the DP, Enkelejd Alibeaj, in a communication with journalists outside the Assembly, responded to Gazment Bardhi.
He said that at the meeting of the National Council, they had the quorum.
"You have to believe the documents and the facts. In the work of the Council, a part of the members chose to be in the other left corner of the LSI in the election, while those who stayed and were not tempted, are 329. The established rules, the quorum is half plus one, which was, thats it. Deputies are free souls, as long as we are elected in the 2021 elections," he said.
Bardhi declared that the rush to elect a new president is not salvation for the DP.
"Who cares about what is happening in DP? This does not serve the PD, this does not serve the Democrats."
Gazment Bardhi called two days ago the meeting of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, one day before the meeting of the National Council where it is expected to vote for July 29, as the date for the elections for the new head of the party.
