Lumir Abdixhiku, the chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), reacted after the cancellation of the joint meeting between the two governments, Kosovo and Albania. He calls this decision by Prime Minister Rama bad news for all Albanians. In his post on Facebook, he also writes that Kosovo is continuing the path of isolation and loneliness.
The chairman of LKD was critical of Kurt, saying that he advances national causes towards the west.
"The news about the cancellation of the joint meeting of the two governments is bad news for Albanians, in Kosovo, in Albania, in the Valley, Macedonia and Montenegro. Unfortunately, Kosovo continues its journey towards isolation and loneliness. This time, like never before, we remained and without Albania. We are and will remain without every ally who stood with us at every difficult stage. This is not the Kosovo we had ever imagined. Kurt's path, clashing with the West, endangers the very citizenship of the Republic. In the country that he behaves like a responsible Prime Minister, one who maintains partnerships and advances national causes towards the West, he brings crisis and isolation. His political adventure cannot be our popular representation. Kosovo needs friends. Kosovo needs strategic partners." Abdixhiku writes.
We recall that, yesterday, Prime Minister Edi Rama, a few hours before the meeting of the two governments in Gjakovë, made the decision to cancel this meeting, since according to him, they cannot act as if everything is in order in Kosovo. Rama asked Albin Kurti to change the plan for the meeting and discuss the situation in the north, which according to him, Kurti opposed.
