After the Court of Appeal gave him the right to lead the Democratic Party, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha addressed today the protesters and his supporters below the house with a message, saying that today is an important day for the Democrats.
The former prime minister said that every Albanian feels the breeze of freedom that is coming, while he emphasized that today's victory will be recorded in history.
"Today, every Albanian feels the breeze of freedom that is coming. This flag overthrew communism, the faith of the Albanians poured into this flag. With this flag, Albanian democracy came to life.
In recent years, with the same ferocity that Edi Rama's followers desecrated national symbols, they sought to destroy the flag of freedom and democracy in primitive revenge. They wanted to rob this flag. It was planned that this flag would disappear and remain a relic in history. This time from a new form of dictatorship, like the narco-state," said Berisha.
He appreciated the courage and integrity of the three judges of the Court of Appeal, who decided to restore the seal and logo of the Democratic Party.
"Today the brave judges performed the greatest act of bravery; they dared and told the truth" , he said.

Dear democrats and democrats in Albania and wherever you are tonight!
Dear resistance fighters and invincible resistance fighters!
Sympathizers and sympathizers of the Democratic Party!
Today is one of the most special days in history, in the effort of Albanians for democracy.
In 33 years, we have spent many happy days together.
We have scored historic victories for the nation.
We have implemented life-changing projects for Albanians.
We won the elections, and we even had the rare fortune and blessing, which very few people are given at times, to divide the eras and change history.
From this chronology of events and joys, the victory we should be most proud of is today's victory against the dictatorship based on the alliance with crime, drugs, theft of Albanians.
We should feel proud today because we stood firm for this flag!
The fact that this flag belongs to us today and forever is a miracle of freedom for all Albanians!
Because we all saw what happened. They wanted to destroy this flag! Every invader, every barbarian, when he gets his claws of rule in a nation or society, first seeks to destroy the symbols of values.
Albanians know this better than anyone else. Because in one of the blackest chapters of our history, Enver Hoxha's regime destroyed religious symbols, desecrated national symbols. In 45 years of communist dictatorship with persecutions, torture and murder, the macabre act against symbols will remain one of the most shocking crimes in history.
And not too long ago, God and the Albanian nation condemned them for all their crimes against the Albanians.
Bringing to life this blue flag, this flag that was given to the Albanians in 1992, and they overthrew the most brutal dictatorship in Europe, today every Albanian feels the breeze of freedom that is coming.
Today more than ever because they are trying to change history. This flag did the impossible. Toppled communism.
This happened because the faith of all Albanians poured into this flag for the endless opportunities that this blessed nation offers.
On this flag, the dream of Albanians for freedom was born. And with this flag, democracy in Albania came to life!
It was under the likeness of this flag that Albania became a mistress from the depths of history and climbed to the pedestal of great victories, and with this flag she will become a heavy mistress as those who founded it wanted!
But in recent years, with the same ferocity that the communists desecrated religious symbols, desecrated national symbols, they sought in the most primitive revenge to destroy the flag of freedom and democracy in Albania
They wanted to rob this flag!
They wanted to alienate this flag.
It was planned that this flag would disappear and remain a relic of history.
This time not from the communists, but from a new perverse form of dictatorship, which was recently baptized by the international media as a mafia state, as a narco-state!
It was precisely our fight against this narco-state, it was the exposure we made to their monstrous thefts, the denunciations we made to the crimes of Edi Rama, that started this fierce war against the flag of the Democratic Party.
And we paid with sacrifices for this war against the narco-state.
From the mayor, who has been under arrest for months without any charges, to the youngest supporter of the Democratic Party, we have all made our share of sacrifices.
But why do we sacrifice?
We sacrifice for the dignity of Albanians.
We sacrifice for political pluralism.
We sacrifice for the national interest.
We sacrifice for democracy.
And in these sacrifices, we managed to save the flag of the Democratic Party.
With this flag today we wipe away the tears of Albania, which in 10 years has lost 35% of its sons and daughters from Edi Rama's regime.
From a genocidal depopulation, that the history of Albania has never seen.
From a genocidal depopulation, completely intentional, from Edi Rama's narco-state.
Therefore, of all the victories and joys of the Democrats, today's victory will be recorded in history as the most important.
Because today this flag was immortalized as the symbol of the most epic uprising of Albanians against evil.
