Argita Malltezi, the daughter of the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, in a press conference stated that the process against Sali Berisha is political.
She has accused the Special Prosecutor's Office of committing topographical fraud in the case, while adding that the change of destination of the Partizani Complex was made by Edi Rama in 2006.
""The process against Sali Berisha is political. Berisha and Malltezi are political prisoners, according to the definitions of international acts. Every time Edi Rama in the SP Assembly or Congress has requested that SPAK act against Berisha, the prosecutors have intensified their actions. Altin Dumani, Millonai and Kraja are making a fictitious process against Berisha. There are falsifications by the investigators regarding the process against Sali Berisha. The change of destination of the Partizani Complex was done by Edi Rama in 2006. SPAK has made a topographical fraud in the matter", she said.
We remind you that former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is under house arrest.
Berisha is under investigation for the criminal offense of corruption together with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, who is accused by SPAK of having benefited from an income of 5.4 million euros from a construction business in an irregular manner thanks to the government decisions made by his father-in-law.
