Berisha's invisible enemy; what endangers the 'referendum', for
Sali Berisha and Flamur Noka

For May 23, the DP has not officially published data on the number of members that this political force has with the right to vote, while the election processes for branch leaders revealed that members had been removed from the lists, or others had been fictitiously added...

The Democratic Party will hold the election process for the leader of this force on May 23, while the membership has been called to vote in the polling centers that will be set up near the headquarters or branches of the DP throughout the country. Despite the fact that there is official talk of a race, in fact the process has only one candidate: Sali Berisha. The democratic leader expects to be reconfirmed in the position to which he officially returned on December 18, 2021, after a referendum where, according to data, Berisha received over 90% of the votes.

"In conclusion, a total of 43,680 people voted for the chairman of the DP, of whom 40,820 voted for Mr. Sali Berisha, or 93 percent of the votes. The Commission declares Mr. Sali Berisha the winner of the race and chairman of the DP,"  was officially declared on December 18, 2021, by the chairwoman of the Electoral Commission, Albana Vokshi.

Meanwhile, for the process that will be held on May 23, a week before the National Assembly of the Democratic Party of Albania, where delegates will elect members of the National Council, as well as approve changes to the party's statute, everything is hermetic.

Berisha is the only candidate in the race, while earlier all those who had filed requests and documentation to challenge the democratic leader were disqualified one by one. Even though the way he controls the DP was not at risk for the position of mayor, Berisha has chosen to turn what could have been an electoral race into a "referendum" or a vote of confidence of the membership against him.

As of May 23, the DP has not officially published data on the number of members this political force has with the right to vote, while the election processes for branch leaders revealed that members had been removed from the lists, or others had been fictitiously added. The most flagrant case was identified in Korça, where the process for electing the branch leader was blocked, and it is still not known when it can be held.

However, Berisha is heading towards reconfirmation with the only question mark: what percentage of the membership will turn out to vote for him, or what percentage of those who will go to vote will invalidate their votes. Perhaps this is also Berisha's invisible enemy on May 23. In short, the leader of the DP will only have the 'boycott' or invalid ballots as an opponent.

Many of those who support candidates who were not allowed to enter the race for the leadership of the Democratic Party may choose not to go to vote, or go and take out invalid ballots. And this may be the most unpleasant surprise that Berisha can face, even though he controls the entire process down to the smallest detail.

As long as the number of those who have the right to vote, that is, the number of voters, is not made public, Saliu's 'trustees' will play with the numbers. In the end, it will be difficult to understand what percentage of the real number of voters went to the polling stations and how many of them will invalidate their vote.

The fact that there is no other candidate in the race besides Berisha means that the process will not be able to be observed by anyone other than those appointed by the leader of the DP. Perhaps this is the real reason why Berisha did not allow other names, even formally, without political weight, who do not endanger him at all, into the race, but who, if legitimized as candidates, had the right to obtain the voter lists, monitor the process and, in the end, could make public the real figures, not those modified by the commission.

At least until May 23, Berisha eliminated this risk as well. /Pamphlet/

Çfarë do bëjnë këta sfiduesit e Berishës, do ti drejtohen gjykatës administrative?
