The Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, commenting on the case of the arrest of the head of the Roads Authority Evis Berberi, emphasizing that it cannot be said that the director has spent millions of euros in a company of his and he was not aware of it superiors.
According to him, that case is being investigated beyond the director of ARRSH, as he underlined that if the investigations will remain there, the credibility of SPAK will be called into question.
" I definitely support SPAK. As long as I turn to SPAK, I have faith. I expect concrete results from the McGonigal case as well. In principle, I support it and whenever I have had criticisms, I have made them because it cannot be treated as a closed matter where public opinion should not express criticism even in a good spirit.
In the case of Mr. Berisha, I had a criticism of the procedure, since the authorization of the Assembly had to be obtained. There is nothing for a senior politician to be investigated. You can't say that the director of ARRSH has spent millions of euros in a company passed by him and his superior was not aware that he has a Constitutional obligation to supervise his work. Even in that case, I believe that it is being investigated beyond the director of ARRSH. If the issue remains with the director who, with one procedure, passes 1.5 million euros to himself, then credibility would be questioned here ", he said.
