Analyst Genc Burimi has analyzed yesterday's events, where GJKKO set the measure 'obligation to appear' for former prime minister Sali Berisha, while his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, ended up behind bars.
In an interview for "News 24", Burimi said that this SPAK action will not have any impact on the opposition action. He also stated that SPAK's move was late in the history of events.
"I initially saw it as a return to normalcy after the decision of Non-Grata given by the Americans. Finally, Berisha will face the justice of his country, as in every country in the world, where the justice of your country makes the law. If justice is caught, it is the second issue I see. Berisha will defend himself. But this is a good message for all Albanians and for Berisha himself who said; if there is a file on me, show me. As far as I can see about the published decision, it is something delayed in relation to the history of the event. We are talking about events that happened between 2008-2012. During this time, it took a complaint by a member of the majority, Taulant Balla, in 2020 to denounce it. But where was this justice until now? It will not have any impact on the opposition, as it has been saying for a long time that justice in the country has been captured.
The Rama government is playing poker. The government will present the opposition movement to the international community as against justice. The maneuver of the majority is more insidious, more adequate than that of the opposition, which will continue its course. For the internationals, who will get to the heart of this thing, the part that supports Berisha, will revolt that they are arresting their leader. The external aspect is being played, and not the internal aspect with Berisha. The danger for the Rama government would be if it went on a hunger strike in the Parliament, it does not leave a good image in the eyes of the international community. Berisha's arrest serves Rama in the eyes of the international community," said Burimi.
Regarding the fact that Bardhi and Meta have not reacted to the incident, Burimi said that the Freedom Party has reacted. Meta does not speak personally. The lack of reaction from White is surprising. Even if it wasn't for Berisha today, the opposition action that started will continue with Bardhi. Bardhi has never wanted to speak with non-women. He is in a difficult position today. Bardhi's pronunciation is interesting, so let's wait. It is too early to speak, but he must do it. This opposition is no longer in 3 parts, but in two parts. Bardhi can be seen as Berisha's heir", said Burimi.
