State police officers appeared at the blue headquarters to take the passport of Sali Berisha, who is not allowed to leave the country while he is under investigation for the privatization of the "Partizani" complex.
In a reaction on Saturday evening, Jozefina Topalli states that by preventing the movement of a member of Parliament, without the latter's permission, the Constitution is being violated.
The former parliamentarian refers to article 73, point 2 of the Constitution, according to which, it is not allowed to limit the freedom of legislators without obtaining permission from the Assembly.
As well as the head of Reestablishment during an emergency press conference, Jozefina
Topalli accuses the government of using the judiciary for political purposes.
"The use of threats, detentions, arrests or movement bans against the leader of the opposition and his family is an extreme practice that violates human rights in an extreme manner, undermines democracy and the stability of a society. This practice is used by authoritarian regimes or extreme groups that seek to suppress the political opposition of a country. In the state of ridiculous prosecutors, it happens that they order the prohibition of the movement of the deputy, without the permission of the parliament, in a very serious violation of the Constitution, as an unforgivable usurpation of the state of law and as a clear fact of the implementation of political orders. The political use of justice against the opposition of a country, and especially against the leader of the opposition and his family members, is the most dangerous step for the stability of the country, but it can also be returned as a step decisive to change the situation from a corrupt and criminalized state to a country that considers the public interest sacred. Mafia regimes must be overthrown along with their political justice!', writes Jozefina Topalli on Facebook.
