Gazment Bardhi commented today on his statements about Sali Berisha when he called him a "murderer". In the debate in Euronews Albania, you pointed out to him that it is immoral to sit at a table with someone who earlier you accused him so severely.
Bardhi argued that he cannot put personal grudges over the interests of the opposition. According to him, what is absurd is the quarrel within the DP and it cannot continue at the expense of the citizens.
According to him, it is more honest to cooperate with Berisha than to continue the internal problem in DP and not perform his function for which he is paid by citizens' taxes.
" What I have done today is the urgent need that Albania has for a functional and unified opposition. I do not choose the opposition factors in the country, I have the duty to provide my model, my acts, my behavior. What is important at this moment is whether we will stay hostage to the quarrel within the Democratic Party or make an opposition with Edi Rama. Citizens from their taxes pay me, as a member of the Albanian Parliament, to be in opposition or to fight with Sali Berisha. Do not take words out of context and from the moment they were said. I did not enter politics to vent my anger. I have said it dozens of times that each of us will have to get over ourselves for the functional opposition.
You are telling me, since you have quarreled with Sali Berisha, continue the quarrel for another two years. Each with his personal morality is presented to the citizens. I am not Sali Berisha and Sali Berisha is not Gazment Bardhi. I am solely responsible for my acts and actions. The fact that I have made accusations against Ermonela Feljat, what does it mean that I will not go to a conference of presidents since I have her in front of me?! We cannot hold grudges against each other and let the citizens suffer the consequences ", said Bardhi.
