The former head of the DIA, Kastriot Ismailaj, left his cell today, serving the sentence for one of the largest prison sentences in the country. Nearly 400 million euros were stolen and Ismailaj himself was convicted, while his bosses let him go. Ismailaj decided to remain silent, while he was brave to his wife, who said that Ilir Meta was actually hiding behind the whole affair.
But what specifically connects Meta with Ismailaj and the CEZ-DIA affair?
According to the testimony given by the former director of CEZ Shpërndarje, Jozef Hejsek, it is known that the contract for the collection of 430 million Euros of CEZ's debts was given to Kastriot Ismailaj because he was offered as a close person of Meta. His initial presentation to the Czech side was made by our former ambassador in Prague, Qazim Tepshi, who, after discussions with former Foreign Minister Meta, recommended Ismailaj as an external debt collector of CEZ. He presented Ismailaj as a close ally of Meta and Berisha. This intervention and this recommendation in favor of Ismailaj, according to Hejsek's assertions, happened in the fall of 2009. Qazim Tepshi told Hejsek that Ismailaj had good relations with Meta and enjoyed his trust. According to Hejsek, Ismailaj was treated by CEZ as a candidate of the Albanian government to collect 430 mln Euro debts.
Meanwhile, in SPAK, lawyer Romeo Kara filed a lawsuit against Ilir Meta. In the lawsuit of the lawyer Kara, it is emphasized that with the blessing of Berisha-Meta, Hejseku and Ismailaj presented the Passut&Partners presentation in front of the CEZ board in Prague, which is basically a fraud already proven by the court. Hejseku and Ismailaj made another second fraudulent presentation in December 2010, which served to conclude the second DIA-CEZ contract on February 1, 2011. In view of Ismailaj's guarantees, Meta goes with Ismailaj to Prague at the end of November 2010, where in a meeting with the top leaders of CEZ, Martin Roman and Tomas Pleskash, he declares that Ismailaj is his brother. According to the lawyer Kara, Ismailaj himself has stated more than once that the former ambassador Tepshi had a car accident on purpose, in order not to participate in this meeting.
Kastriot Ismailaj's wife also gave a strong testimony that sinks Meta, who shows the connections of the president, then minister, with the CEZ-DIA affair."

Even before he became Prime Minister or an important person in politics, Ilir Meta and his wife, Monika, often came to our house. We spent many lunches and dinners together: Ilir Meta had strengthened ties with Kastriot since the time of FRESH's creation. Kastrioti had also mediated the reconciliation of Ilir Meta with Fatos Nano and this is a publicly known fact. To bring you back to the history of CEZ, I am bringing you just one example: it was Ilir Meta, who, after having realized the reduction in the price of energy, asked Kastriot to ask the Czechs to reward him, that is, Ilir, with the claim that he had made them earn millions of euros", said Vojsava Ismailaj shortly after the arrest of her husband.
Ismailaj's release comes at a time when SPAK is investigating this case again. Meta was interrogated by SPAK, while the prosecutors tried to make Ismilaj a repentant witness. It is not known if the latter has accepted, but his release will make Meta not to sleep peacefully. / Pamphlet
