"He told me that I have no ambition to return as chairman", Bardhi tells the reason for the rift with Basha

DP MP Gazment Bardhi, speaking about the latest developments in the Democratic Party, also recounted a conversation he had with Lulzim Basha before the May 14 local elections.

In an interview for the show 'Kontrast' on 'Report Tv', Bardhi revealed that Lulzim Basha had previously denied that he would become the chairman of the DP, or that he had any such ambitions.

He also said that he stands by the words he said as far as Berisha is concerned, as he added that he does not support Saliu's candidacy as prime minister.

" I didn't know that Basha had ambitions to return. I asked him directly and he denied me. Before the elections, I believed it to be true. I believed this statement he made to me to be true. I said that I will no longer be a PD deputy if Berisha is the candidate for prime minister, I stand by this statement , Bardhi said.
