It is learned that in the analysis of the last 6 months of the Tirana police, the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla has been critical about the sector of serious crimes and murders.
Balla has placed emphasis on the unsolved events that have shocked the capital, also mentioning the assassination of the last few days where Zamir Kalemi was injured in the area of Selita.
The minister emphasized the fact that the perpetrators of the assassinations cannot be discovered. He has requested more work in this aspect as well as to work on the localization of the names in the search.
Balla praised the anti-drug sector. According to him, there has been an increase in striking power to the extent of 100% in investigations and 30-50% in the capture of various types of narcotics compared to 2022, singling out the operation "Tempulli", with 112 people arrested first in the capital.
As for economic crime, Balla said that the organic sector of this sector will increase again, due to the need.
Meanwhile, Balla also had a positive assessment of the Traffic Police for managing traffic and punishing violators of traffic rules. Balla has made it clear that he will evaluate each police director with grades.
