"Gangs are used by the government for power", Dogjani: Crime in

The deputy of the Democratic Party, Asllan Dogjani, spoke about the massacre with 4 victims that shocked Shkodra.

He emphasized that the presence of criminal groups operating without obstacles is a clear indicator of cooperation with police leaders.

Dogjani says that these groups have been used by the government for political gains, stressing that the police no longer control the territory. The deputy compared the current situation to that of the turbulent years 1997-2000, when the police could not operate in some areas.

"Such events are very serious events, tragic events that, in the first place, convey fear, uncertainty and anxiety, not only to the citizens of Shkodra, but to the whole of Albania.

The case of Shkodra, where armed persons move in the middle of the city, at the entrance of Shkodra, where the axis is moving 24 hours because it is connected to Hani e Hoti, shows that this event could not have happened without the support of the police. I'm not talking about all the police, but about the main leaders, while the rest have found another way: they either put their heads down and pretend they don't see, because if they react, they will go to their house to threaten them. Because the policeman is also human - either he will be killed, or he will find another way, compromising himself and taking bribes.

These criminal groups in Shkodër were used by Edi Rama to seize power, not only in Shkodër, but also in Durrës, Elbasan, Vlora, that is, in all of Albania, criminal groups were used to seize power.

Do you know that the police of Shkodra today cannot control the territory? We are back like in the years 97-2000, you don't even control it physically anymore. The police must get permission to go to a neighborhood of Shkodra from these criminal groups. The order inspector must talk to them to give him permission, just like in '97, when the police could not enter some areas", said Dogjani for "Syri Tv".
