Basha has denied being the one who gave the order for the citizens to be shot or for the deletion of the servers, charging Sali Berisha with all the responsibility.
SPAK announced today that it registered the criminal proceedings for the case of January 21, where 4 innocent citizens were killed during the protest of that time.
The former leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, then Minister of the Interior, when asked about the SPAK investigation on this matter, has declared that he is ready and at the disposal of justice, to reveal the truth.
"To investigate everything, impartially. This has been my message in 13 years. This remains my message. I was and remain at the disposal of every act of justice in order to do a complete clarification and justice for January 21 , "said Basha.
The start of the investigation seems to have alarmed Basha who, in his first appearance with journalists, tried to remove any responsibility from himself.
Asked if, as the Minister of the Interior, he gave orders for citizens to be shot, Basha denied that such a thing was true. Basha has also denied being the one who gave the order to delete the servers, billing all the responsibilities to Sali Berisha.
" No and no ", Basha declared to the journalists. If he did not give such an order, it means that the prime minister of that time, Sali Berisha, may have been the one who gave the order.
But when asked about the role of Prime Minister Berisha in that event, Basha stated that these tasks should be left to SPAK and GJKKO.
" This is a press conference, it is not GJKKO nor SPAK, let SPAK and GJKKO do their work" , said Basha.
