"May 11 is truly the day of every Albanian, it is the hour of every Albanian, it is the hour of Albania. It is the hour of Albanian patriotism." This is the message that concluded the speech of the Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, at the last campaign rally of the Democratic Party and the 'Great Albania Alliance' coalition, two days before the parliamentary elections of May 11.
Berisha said that on May 11, we sign together for a proud Albania, for a different Albania.
"We who once overthrew a dictatorship, we will overthrow this dictatorship. We who made Albania a member of NATO, we will make Albania a member of the EU."
We, who emerged from the depths of misery into the group of upper-middle-income countries, will move towards prosperity, employment, high salaries, and education.
So, even in these hours that separate us, let's turn night into day, continue communication, contacts, conversations with every acquaintance, wherever they are.
Let's invite them to join.
It's not about the parties, it's not about Sali Berisha's power.
Absolutely not.
"But it is an issue for the future of Albania and Albanians," Berisha said.
