Democratic Party MP Ori Nebijaj withdrew from the May 11 race after learning that she had been assigned to the open list of Fier, unlike the 2021 campaign which was in Tirana.
Nebiaj has ironically mocked the campaign being conducted by candidates for MPs and party leaders in the country through a post on social media. She ironically states that if she had known that the campaign would only be conducted online, she would have created seven parties.
Nebijaj further adds that very soon all those campaigning will get upset when they realize that likes and shares on social networks do not translate into votes.
"If I had known that the campaigns would only be conducted online and that the leaders of these radically differentiating forces would have ambitions simply to become influencers, I would have created 7 parties from Instagram alone."
"Inshaallah they won't be upset when they realize that likes, shares and views don't translate into votes," Nebijaj writes.
