Berisha mobilizes district leaders, focus on protests and documentation of election "stealing"
Sali Berisha today gathered the political leaders of the Democratic Party in the regions, where he delivered a long and harsh speech regarding the May 11 elections. He accused the government and Edi Rama of what he called an "electoral megacrime," emphasizing that the vote was openly bought with public funds and state pressure.
"The elections were publicly robbed by the regime with government decisions. 70 million euros were distributed to 760 thousand pensioners, who make up 48% of voters - a pure vote-buying with public money," said Berisha, calling this the most serious manipulation the country has seen in 33 years of pluralism.
However, contrary to what was expected after a disappointing result for the DP – which in many circles lost traditional support and fell short of expectations – at no point did Berisha take responsibility for the poor performance of the party he leads. He made no reflection on the selected lists, the exclusion of figures liked by the electorate, or the strategy that led to the isolation of the opposition.
Instead of an internal analysis, Berisha chose to focus on denouncing the government and SPAK, reinforcing the narrative of an opposition victim of the system. He ordered political leaders to document

The man who robbed the elections, the regime that robbed the elections of May 11, 2025, did not do this secretly, he did it publicly, using for this purpose the entire potential of the narco-state with government decisions. So he distributed a gift for votes, 70 million euros, to 760 thousand pensioners "who in the current electoral map constitute 48 percent of voters in Albania," he said .
Berisha said that criminal gangs have acted in a coordinated manner in 10 regions and over 20 municipalities in the country to ensure the victory of 30 Socialist Party candidates.
He also accused the government of distributing 138 licenses for millions of cannabis plants, estimating that each plant has a value of 1,000 euros.

The gangs operated in 10 regions of the country and in over 20 municipalities, to bring 30 SP candidates to parliament. The star of this campaign is Sara Mile, who reached 30 thousand, who are now reducing the votes, because it is becoming a global joke. The gangs, where they saw that underground work might not achieve the objective, came out openly in a series municipalities, including Vora, Peshkopi, Mat, Durrës, Elbasan," he said.
In the end, he gave them orders to mobilize for the protest on May 16. On Friday at 5:00 PM, the DP will protest at "Zogu I" Boulevard.
