" We are people of our word and we keep our word: first, with Edi Rama there is no choice, I have said it and I say it again. Second, we have told Albanians that we will defend the vote, and we defended the vote ," said Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha at the meeting of the DP National Council.
Berisha addressed the members of the National Council with an explanation because the meeting of this forum was not called for 7 months, emphasizing that the focus was on proving the electoral crime, protecting the opposition vote. According to Berisha, international resolutions show that the DP and its allies have protected the vote, which was distorted on May 11.
He said that the May 11 campaign was the most excellent campaign in the entire history of the DP, we had the architect of President Trump's victory, it was the campaign with the best program of this party and it was the campaign with the greatest support we had from the center-right party organizations.
Berisha said that on May 11 there were no elections, but an electoral farce.
"Those who want to blame the opposition for the farce are making a big mistake, in substance and in essence, and intentionally or unintentionally justify the farce," Berisha said.
In his speech, Berisha reiterated the denunciations he has made before regarding the activities of Edi Rama and his Government during the campaign, violating the rules for fair elections.
