The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting today with supporters in Kuçova as part of the electoral campaign.
Berisha promised grants for young entrepreneurs, interest coverage for housing loans, and employment subsidies. He emphasized that, together with the Democrats, he is oriented towards the economic recovery of the country through the empowerment of the younger generation.
The DP leader said that with the DP, subsidies for farmers will increase 5-fold, while adding that from the first day in government, he will tear up the Open Balkans agreement.
Berisha also said that minimum wages will be doubled and pensions will be increased to guarantee a better future for all.
"Today I am here to present the program of the Democratic Party and the Alliance for a Greater Albania, the best program ever offered to Albanian citizens.
We launched the campaign this morning in Thessaloniki, where thousands of brothers and sisters from the diaspora came to listen to our program. They are more determined than ever to vote on May 11th for the salvation of Albania, for the great change, to separate themselves from an evil that is desolating Kuçova, Berat and the entire country more every week, every month.
I am here today and I address Ledian, his peers and all the young people present in this square or anywhere else: May 11 marks a new beginning for every young person, for every girl and boy who wants to build their dream in Albania, their future in this country.
We guarantee that our children's education will take place in modern conditions, in schools equipped with new technologies and of high quality. We will double the budget for education and remove the average as an absurd obstacle that prevents young people from entering universities. On the contrary, the doors of universities will be open to everyone, and after graduation, every entrepreneur who employs young people will be supported by the government with one year of paid social insurance for each young person employed.
"The government will offer grants for every business and startup of our youth. We will set up grants for every loan for housing, so that every young couple has the opportunity to build a life in their own country. We will cover up to 30 thousand euros in loan interests and for families that give birth to a third child, the state will take over the full repayment of the loan ," Berisha said.
